Energy Saving Data Centre Initiative Secures DCD Award

2 Jan 2020

We’re thrilled that the EcoCooling supported Boden Type DC project won ‘Nonprofit Industry Initiative of the Year’ at the coveted DCD 2019 awards in London.

The DCD Awards are a special night where the industry’s best data centre projects and most talented people are celebrated. This year’s gala ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 5th December.

The Boden Type DC project was selected as a finalist by an independent panel of data centre experts from hundreds of entries, submitted from across the world. On the night EcoCooling was presented the Nonprofit Industry Initiative of the Year award in collaboration with H1 Systems, RISE and Boden Business Agency.

The award recognises the great initiatives that NGOs, professional bodies and academia put together, which are educating and influencing the data centre sector. Funded by the European Horizon 2020 project, this prototype 500kW facility in the small town of Boden uses every trick in the book to lower its environmental impact.

Come and speak to us about the Boden project how energy efficient cooling can work for your premises.
