ZoneSafe uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to create detection zones around vehicles, assets, crossing points and walkways.
This explains how RFID technology works.
ZoneSafe uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to create detection zones around vehicles, assets, crossing points and walkways.
What is an active
tag?
A ZoneSafe in-cab control unit is fitted within reach of the
vehicle’s operator (a forklift for example). An audible visual alarm alerts the
operator every time a tagged person or object is detected entering the
antenna’s detection zone.
ZoneSafe detection antenna(s) are fitted to the forklift
truck (or other vehicle). This creates a 3-9 metre 360o continuous detection zone around the
vehicle, which detects personnel or objects with a ZoneSafe tag.
ZoneSafe active RFID tags are worn by all personnel or
fitted to assets. The tag can be placed in a hi viz jacket, clipped to a
lanyard, fitted to a hard hat, worn on your belt or simply placed in your
pocket.
RFID as a safety tool
ZoneSafe offers
people and asset protection with its range of proximity warning and alert
systems. Using innovative identification and detection RFID techonologies,
ZoneSafe significantly reduces the risk of accidents, injury and damage to
people and assets on work sites.

Physical segregation of workplace vehicles and pedestrian workers is the best and safest way to prevent collision accidents. However, physical segregation is not always achievable due to site layout, pedestrian crossings and worksite operations. ZoneSafe’s activated visual warnings and zone control provide...
The Vehicle to Vehicle system offers reliable long-range detection to reduce the risk of impacts and collisions between industrial vehicles used in the workplace.
The system has two configurable warning zones: an outer pre-warning zone and an inner warning zone.

Vehicles moving bulky loads feature prominently in workplace accidents. They have a far greater risk of collision because the driver’s vision can be limited due to carrying large loads, driving around blind corners or even just carrying out specific manoeuvres. The risk of accidental collision is significa...

No matter what type of environment, work sites often require vehicle access control within the site. Restricting access to authorised vehicles will support security, prevent loss or damage and reduce the risk of personal injury to staff and visitors. The ZoneSafe Vehicle Access Control System provides a ha...
