There are many benefits to ensuring your kitchen and front

your business, employees and customers. to learn more about how Vaclensa can help you and your teams achieve their training needs please continue reading.
Although many businesses within the hotel and hospitality
sector have a dedicated cleaning team and cleaning schedule in place, there is
a real need to ensure specific cleaning tasks can still be successfully
completed outside this planned timetable.
Daniel Cross, Marketing lead at Vaclensa, comments “within
the hotel and hospitality sector poor hygiene is not an option, so it is vital
that in-house staff are trained on the proper use of equipment.”
This is an industry where all staff need to ensure that
everything is being done to maintain a very high level of cleanliness and
hygiene, and not just in the kitchen area.
Customers are going to be visiting the reception areas, the dining
areas, the washroom and toilet facilities, which all contribute to the
customers experience.
Following the delivery of new cleaning machines to a site,
Vaclensa deliver live training sessions to the appropriate members of the
cleaning team and hospitality staff, so they can physically use the machines as
they are being taught.
Daniel continues “specific cleaning tasks may require
specific methods, so the right machine is only part of the solution. Being able to use that machine correctly
means reducing exposure to risk, for both staff and customers.”
In the event of a spill for instance, the use of a mopping
system may well clean the area, but create a potential slip and fall hazard. In events like this the hazard can
drastically be reduced by using a compact scrubber dryer which, when used
correctly by trained staff, will clean and leave the floor dry immediately.
Instances where staff use machines incorrectly can also
result in a significant financial impact for a business, on top of creating
potential hazards to staff and customers.
Machines designed to clean hard floors, when used on carpeted areas for
example, can result in the creation of a slip hazard, a ruined carpet, and a broken
machine.
“If an existing member of staff uses a machine incorrectly, and
subsequently teaches a new member of the team to use the machine in that same
way, a vicious cycle is being created which can have serious consequences, from
unhappy customers to the need to purchase brand new machines” said Daniel.
For this reason, it is highly beneficial that the kitchen
staff, front of house and customer facing teams are just as capable of using
the on-site cleaning equipment properly and as effectively as the actual
cleaning teams.
