A RAMS board is a modular information board made of recyclable plastic that can be used instead of the plywood information boards that are the industry standard. It can act as a briefing point with relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements; First Aid point; Fire point and Consumable PPE distribution point.
The boards weighs less than 50 kg, and is easy to transport from
place to place. Dismantling and setting up the board again only takes a
few minutes. That saves time and money on every dynamic
construction site. It is designed for re-use, using minimal resources
and no plant. Assembling process is extremely easy, minimal
maintenance is required, simple to clean for a good appearance, and is
also durable in the rain. The board’s legs can also be filled with water
in order to improve stability and the board can also be fixed to a solid
floor in order to account for any wind loading.
It is currently used on the Chambers Wharf site. Previously, the plywood boards would look very untidy and would not stand out so the operatives did not use to pay particular attention. The RAMS Boards at Chambers Wharf do stand out a lot and the general feedback is that they look very tidy and they attact the attention from site operatives and visitors.
