Distribution Centres

9 May 2018

We ensure space optimisation for maximum pallet storage in major distribution facilities with a high daily turnover of goods received to goods shipped.

Safety walkway markings with colour-coated surfacing ensure that pathways are clearly marked to segregate plant and HGV movements from pedestrians to maintain access to bays, welfare facilities and emergency escape routes.

Crisp and precise line markings are applied using a waterborne acrylic resin which is then coated with RapidShield to ensure a durable finish. Easy to clean and impervious to acid, blood and oil it can even be applied in live food zones such as working freezers.

Environmentally friendly, containing no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and completely solvent free.

Nationwide installation

Required markings are set out in accordance to drawings supplied by the team of architects working with the client to ensure that space is fully utilised and that forklifts can move efficiently throughout the area whilst ensuring that all walkways are clearly segregated.

The floor surface is prepared using mechanical shot-blasting equipment which is completely dust-free. The area is masked to ensure sharp edges and that the finish is particularly neat. Waterborne Acrylic Resin is installed via an airless spray paint machine which gives a consistent thickness to the coverage.

The clear RapidShield top coat seals in the markings and gives a durable but non-slip gloss finish. This is cured via a mobile ultra violet light machine and can be instantly trafficked.

QMS RapidShield is suitable for concrete surfaces in warehouses, industrial units, pharmaceutical factories and food preparation / storage facilities including working freezers with ambient temperatures of -28C.

The waterborne acrylic resin and RapidShield products contain no harmful solvents and zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs) adhering to environmental protection policies.

QMS work with minimal disturbance to the client ensuring that production and shipping can continue during installation if it is an established site.

Line marking and safety walkways are one of the last processes in a new build or refurbishment project but the first thing to get noticed on hand-over so the precision and quality of work is paramount - and we take great pride in getting that right.

QMS services are nationwide and we guarantee a friendly, professional approach.
