Comfortable, wearable and durable, it introduces a new age of freedom and flexibility

Carrington will be presenting its Stretch fabrics at The Professional Clothing Show from 19-21 June at the ExCeL in London.

One of Europe’s largest producers of versatile workwear fabrics, with a comprehensive range to meet virtually every application, Carrington has introduced the new Stretch products to meet the growing demand for garments with built-in comfort.

The fabrics combine the tenacity of polyester and the breathability of cotton to produce a yarn engineered to give permanent elasticity. This allows garments to flex and respond without placing strain on their construction, and enables the material to retain its original shape and appearance.

As a result, wearers can work more efficiently and comfortably in the most demanding environments. What’s more, Stretch garments keep their outstanding performance throughout extended wear and wash cycles - including industrial laundering. Stretch properties also allow designers to move away from the traditional blocky workwear silhouettes and towards more creative, fashionable garments.

Kate Barlow, product lead on Stretch fabrics at Carrington, said: ‘‘Whether people are working in a hospital or on railway lines, there is a need for fabric that offers optimum functionality, durability and comfort. Our Stretch fabrics provide workers with these benefits without asking manufacturers to compromise on the quality of their garment designs.’’

Carrington Stretch has been extensively tested to withstand a host of conditions experienced in a multitude of sector applications within workwear, corporate wear and protectivewear environments.
