Certification marks

UL is expanding with three new laboratories in Europe to support European manufacturers with their market access globally. The new laboratories include the recently opened Security CoE in Germany (ul.com/security-lab) with security product testing facilities, the Door & Hardware Testing Laboratory in the UK (ul.com/door-and-hardware-lab) for the mechanical testing of door fittings and the fire protection laboratory in Germany (ul.com/FireTestingEurope). In the latter one European manufacturers can test and certify the worldwide fire resistance standards in the heart of Europe. The UL laboratory offers tests for fire behavior, fire/smoke resistance, propagation & flammability.
All three laboratories perform UL testing according to EN and UL standards, allowing customers to obtain the CE marking as well as the UL safety mark within a single process. In addition, the fire protection door standard EN 16034 can be tested for CE marking in the UL fire protection laboratory.
